Always Be Collaborating When Building Your Sphere of Influence

Always Be Collaborating When Building Your Sphere of Influence

When Building Your Sphere of Influence, I think its always important to get a few great brains together and collaborate on new ideas. Nobody is an expert at everything and the more great minds you can get together, the more wonderful new ideas you can dream up. I always like to get some feedback when I come up with something new. It might be a fresh new business idea or  a complete revamp of current materials. Since I’ve taken the time to build my network, I know just who to reach out to when I need some feedback from like-minds on new material I’ve created. I’m always honored when someone in my inner circle asks me to join them for brainstorming and feedback. I really enjoy the process of collaborating with like-minds. It seems that everyone gains something from participating in the process. Its a great opportunity to unleash your creative juices. Even if you are in the early stages of Building Your Sphere of Influence, consider who you know that you can reach out to and ask to Collaborate new ideas. I bet you have a few trusted connections who would be happy to help you. Always Be Clear When Building Your Sphere of Influence

Always Be Clear When Building Your Sphere of Influence

As part of my Small Business Marketing system for Building Your Sphere of Influence I have created a list of “Always Be C…” activities I feel are important for marketing and building your small business. Today’s edition will focus on “Clarity when Communicating” to Build Your Sphere of Influence. I have included a few pointers under the “Always Be Clear” for you to consider. * Figure out who you want to be when you grow up and who you are now!! Try not to confuse people, because when you do they will not be able to work with you or send any referrals. When someone asks you what kind of (IT services) you offer, you can’t say “Whatever you need”… if you want them to ever call you again. They need to hear “websites, virus removal, high level systems networking, etc.” * Are you organizing or posting an event of some sort? Get all the facts together and provide everything someone could possibly want to know. By this, I mean. WHO (should attend? Who else will be there) WHAT (are you talking about? What is the purpose of the event?) WHERE (is the meeting/event happening? If it is a large complex location, give detailed instructions for where to park, where to enter, etc.) WHEN (Should I arrive? How long will it last? am, pm?) WHY (should I care?) HOW (do I register, respond, get more information, share the event with friends?) *We need to be very clear about what actions we want people to take. “Please do me a favor and “LIKE” my page, Click here to go to...
Always Be Building Your Sphere of Influence – Connecting

Always Be Building Your Sphere of Influence – Connecting

As part of my Small Business Marketing system for Building Your Sphere of Influence I have created a list of “Always Be C…” activities I feel are important for marketing and building your small business. Today’s edition will focus on “Connecting” to Build Your Sphere of Influence. I have included a few pointers under the “Always Be Connecting” for you to consider. *Get out and meet some new people. If you are also in the Milwaukee area, there is absolutely no excuse to not find some networking opportunities! I manage numerous groups on MeetUp.com, which is completely keyword driven. You will find people with similar interests who are close by. No excuses in MKE! There are groups that meet once monthly for a large cocktail party style networking, organized groups like BNI, and lots of other small gatherings of people who are also looking to make some new connections. Don’t make the mistake of prejudging people before you get to know them. You never know who they know until you get to know them. *Reach out and invite other people to make connections. When you start connecting with people on a deeper level, you will begin to understand  what they do and who they need to meet. Be the Connector that introduces them to the person they really need to meet. You = Hero in their mind.  If you find a great group, tell people about it so they also can benefit from membership. *Volunteer for something you are passionate about. You might be surprised by the unique people you connect with on a deep level. These are people...

Know Your Own Personality; Know Your Prospect

I meet so many entrepreneurs who want to market their business and are trying all sorts of things, to no avail. What I notice is they have not taken the time to stop and get to know their prospects. When you figure out what things interest them, how they learn and interact, you are able to target your message to truly “speak” to them. I’m sharing my results in case you want to get to know me. I found the results very insightful and hope you enjoy taking the profile questionnaire and learning something new today! The part that is most interesting is the Strengths and Weaknesses portion. I want to know what you ache for – and if you dare to dream of meeting your heart’s longing. It doesn’t interest me how old you are. I want to know if you will risk looking like a fool – for love – for your dreams – for the adventure of being alive. Oriah Mountain Dreamer The ENFP personality is a true free spirit. They are often the life of the party, but unlike Explorers, they are less interested in the sheer excitement and pleasure of the moment than they are in enjoying the social and emotional connections they make with others. Charming, independent, energetic and compassionate, the 7% of the population that they comprise can certainly be felt in any crowd. YOU CAN CHANGE THE WORLD WITH JUST AN IDEA More than...
Tech Tip Tuesday Easy Events

Tech Tip Tuesday Easy Events

My Tech Tip for this Tuesday is This – Make it EASY for People to Connect, Follow, and Show up at Events. If you are hosting an event (and you actually want people to show up) create the registration in a way that makes it very easy for them (the average techno-challenged human) to register, RSVP, invite friends to join in, and help you promote it. A good rule of thumb is to have one main registration place i.e. Eventbrite. You can also post it to a MeetUp group if you own one, but there are so many good reasons to use Eventbrite instead. Events on Eventbrite integrate well with lots of other social platforms and make sharing easy. See screen shot below where I linked to LinkedIn, Facebook, twitter, etc. (I created an event on EB and it pulled in all relevant data so I didn’t have to recreate it in FB events; Nifty!) You can download a calendar file and easily add it to your Outlook, Google calendar, Yahoo, or ical Designs can be created to match your logo, themes, etc Read more about Easy Events on KarinConway.com –>  http://wp.me/pEZ6u-pE If you have a technology tip to share or would like to suggest a topic for a future discussion, please email it to Organic Growth Coach, Karin Conway...
